Dass der Erfolg von iPod und iPhone einen positiven Effekt auf den Verkauf von Apple-Computer haben könnte, sollte man ein Understatement nennen. Wir haben beinahe vergessen,

dass Apple auch Macs produziert. Und wie! Im zweiten Quartal waren es plus 38,1 Prozent. Damit hat Apple in den USA einen Marktanteil von 8,5 Prozent erreicht.

Apple hat hiermit Nummer 4, Acer, überholt. Nummer 1 ist immer noch Dell mit 31,9 Prozent. HP folgt mit 25,3 Prozent. (Quelle: www.macobserver.com)

Weil das iPad noch relativ neu ist, gibt es bislang nur wenig wirklich beeindruckende iPad Apps. Viele sprachen von Alice und WIRED, aber eigtenlich war ews das dann auf. Nun ist da ein Benchmark hinzugekommen: Flipboard. Mit dieser App kann man sein eigenes Magazin machen, und zwar auf der Basis deiner Social Media-Accounts. Eine personalisierte Zeitung also.
