Ubisoft übernimmt Hybride Technologies

Game-Publisher Ubisoft hat bekannt gegeben, dass man das kanadische Special Effect-Studio Hybride Technologies übernommen hat. Von nun an werde man zusammen an Filmversionen von Games-Serien arbeiten. Der Ankauf des Filmstudios schliesst bei Ubisofts früheren Plänen an, wobei man ein Studio gründete, dass sich

auf computeranimierte Kurzfilme richtet.

Schon seit 1995 hat Hybride an vielen Projekten mitgearbeitet, zum Beispiel: Highlander: The Final Dimension, 300 und Sin City. Yannis Mallat, der CEO von Ubisoft Montreal, sagt: "This alliance is a true first for the industry. Ubisoft and Hybride share the same vision of entertainment convergence and a common passion for innovation and creativity."
